A video game adaptation of the popular cartoon and comic book
Tintin Reporter – Cigars of the Pharaoh is an adventure game starring the title character, Tintin, who is the protagonist of a popular comic book and cartoon. The game sees Tintin and his faithful dog, Snowy, as they investigate a mystery that will take them to locations in Egypt, India, and Arabia.
As one would expect, this game shares a lot in common with Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, which is an earlier game in the same franchise. The game mixes 2D platforming with 3D graphics and gameplay elements.
A puzzle platforming adventure game
As with the previous game in the franchise, the player will need to do so to solve certain puzzles and have the ability to control both Tintin and his dog, Snowy. For example, Snowy can reach areas that Tintin cannot, as well as perform certain actions that Tintin cannot, like digging. Most of the gameplay is essentially 2D puzzle platforming.

Tintin Reporter – Cigars of the Pharaoh features a linear story, so the player is bound to the progression of that story. That being said, the game takes the player through many interesting locations in Egypt, India, and Arabia, providing plenty of variety in terms of visuals and level design.

As part of a long-running franchise, Tintin Reporter – Cigars of the Pharaoh will obviously hold special appeal to players who are familiar with it. Still, the game does stand well on its own, so anyone who has an interest in puzzle platformer games may find a lot to enjoy here, even if they were not previously fans of the Tintin franchise.
